When life gives you lemons, make Limoncello! For those who may not know, Limoncello is an Italian lemon Liquor with a sweet and fresh taste, which our team was lucky enough to enjoy at The Michelangelo Hotel's Limoncello event. We even got an inside scoop (or 3 scoops, when it comes to making Limoncello) as to how the Limoncello is created and what other great things are happening at the Michelangelo!
1. Event Inspiration
The idea of hosting a Limoncello themed event was originally thought of by the Chef, Maria Reynoso. Sticking to the yellow color scheme, everyone had to work together to find lemon trees, order a yellow carpet, and make sure that there would be enough Limoncello for the entire party! “Our whole team worked together to pull off an amazing event!” exclaimed Megan.
2. Making The Limoncello
Megan let us in on the whole time-consuming process: “Zest lemon and combine with vodka, let sit in the refrigerator for a week. Next, boil water and sugar and let sit until cool. Combine the zest and vodka into the syrup and strain into the bottle. Store into the freezer if you would like to serve it cold.”
3. A Fresh Take On Michelangelo
Through this Limoncello event, the Michelangelo Hotel hoped to showcase how awesome their food is, as well as provide their guests with a night they would always remember! Allowing new and existing clients to try the food out was a top priority. The Michelangelo is all about making lasting connections and providing 5-star service.

Megan gave us an inside scoop on how Michelangelo is constantly changing by evolving the menu, bringing in Lavazza coffee and "always working on new ideas and experiences that enhance the guest's experience.”
