Located in the heart of Midtown, not only is Gotham Hall a historic landmark space, it’s one of our member venues. The team at Best Venues knows this space inside and out and we’re more than happy to walk you through it.
Originally built in the 1920s, the building first served as the headquarters for the Greenwich Savings Bank. It was home to several other banks over the years until 2000 when it became the venue we know as Gotham Hall.
As soon as you step inside the Grand Ballroom, the regal granite walls and limestone Corinthian columns are sure to take your breath away. Look up and you’ll see a 3,000 square foot stained glass atrium. This space is perfect for product launches, galas, social events, or cocktail parties, but it’s really versatile enough for any event. Hosting only one event at a time, you have the option to use only the ballroom or in conjunction with any of the other gorgeous more intimate event spaces Gotham Hall offers.
Right next to the Grand Ballroom, you’ll find the Lounge. Its hand-carved, richly painted ceiling is elegant and beautiful. When you use it in conjunction with the ballroom, it’ll serve perfectly as a registration area, press, or green room. It can even be used as a kids’ entertainment venue space when a family celebration is occupying the ballroom.No matter what type of event you end up having, the brass pocket doors will allow your guests to seamlessly move between the two spaces.
Our next stop on the tour is the Oak Room; as the name suggests, you’ll find oak-paneled walls along with a soapstone fireplace. While the main event happens in the ballroom, use the Oak Room for a bridal suite or a VIP green room.
The last space we’d like to bring your attention to is the Mezzanine. Overlooking the Grand Ballroom, your guests will have amazing views of the floor to ceiling Corinthian columns. While your main event takes place in the ballroom, you can use this space for a cocktail hour.
